Passed Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ500 Exam on 13th August

It’s the new version of AZ500 and released on 29th July. I guess I am first batch of people taking the exam. My score is 823.

There are 4 buckets to study: application security, network security, computing/resource security and Active Directory. Not a very difficult topic to me so obviously it didn’t take me much time for preparation.

Although there are common industry best practices like bastion host, least privilege, defence in depth, etc. nowadays it’s a trend that more and more cloud vendors start to implement NLP for cloud security. It’s like a intelligent agent backed by machine learning to automatically study and identify malicious patterns and bahaviors, and proactively contain the risk. I guess it’s pretty easy to sell such ‘security as a service’ concept and charge a subscription fee. It’s not going to be cheap though.
